Andrew Hammer was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended NYU, Tisch school of the arts, where he earned his BFA.

A professional photographer and painter, Andrew has created work in many mediums, but favors photography, oil and acrylic paints, ink and charcoal. He has also received awards for his ceramic work. It is from his wide range of artistic expression that the name Hammermania emerged.

Hammermania has two new shows in the works--"City Exposed", multiple exposures of differnt cities form all 50 states and "Word!", multiple exposures of signs from around the world

Andrew also works as Project Coordinator for Foundation for the Creative Community, Inc; a 501-c3 that brings arts and education to urban youth. Artists looking to volunteer their skills to teach homeless youth in NYC shelters should send resumes and letters of intent.
